Have you ever texted a friend that you finished something and felt good at their “way to go!” text back to you? Do you ever feel like you’re lacking motivation to push through a difficult or long piece of writing?
Writing accountability groups are a way of working “together” on individual projects: just as with any accountability system, you check in with your goals and report back on your accomplishments, knowing that others are looking out for you.
Just in time for this season of extra-isolated work during the pandemic, the Writing Center has begun offering these kinds of groups—Writing Accountability Groups, or WAGs—for undergraduate writers at Pitt.
Head to the WAG page for more info and session days and times, and we hope to see you—and virtually high-five you—soon!
